NZ Open

Hi again all, Short and sharp. NZ Open. Not the strongest field ever assembled, but somebody still has to win it. This week features a special celebrity tipster, Mr Horatio Butts. There's not a huge amount that can be said about this guy, but suffice to say, he knows his stuff. So much so, that I agree with his selection. Michael Hendry $9 is a clear top pick. Played very well last week at the Masters and with everything being equal, will not have any trouble putting away this field. Dubai. Martin Kaymer $16 is due. Long overdue. Quality player who has shown some recent form and a win here would turn around a poor year by his standards. Each way all day top five at that price. Japan Casio. KT Kim $11. Sometimes you just throw away the form guide and pick names and I like this bloke ever since he was out here for the Presidents cup. I honestly have no idea how his form stacks up for this, but who cares? So if you take all three you get somewhere around the 1200-1 range. Nice. I would also like to make mention of two mates paying in NZ, Andy and Kris. Good luck men, bring me back some Velcro gloves...along with the trophy and the cash. And best wishes to all heading off on the golf trip tomorrow from my local club. There is a book being run, but there isn't a corporate bookie on the planet that would touch it. Although Ollie might know someone... Until next time, good golfing and punting.
